Can my accountant see my books without a separate subscription?

Yes. Your accountant does not need a subscription of their own. Each company pays $25 a month, and that covers up to 10 people, including you and your accountant. Their own firm staff do not count toward the 10, and there is no per-user fee.
Invite them in Settings, then Team, then Invite member, with the role Accountant. They sign in with their own login and see the same books you do. Every role can work in the books, so they can fix things directly instead of sending you a list.
If they only need to look, you can share a live link to a report like your Profit and Loss or Balance Sheet, or export it to Excel or PDF. A share link opens without a login and updates as the books change.
