10 Best Claude Connectors for Small Business Owners in 2026

October 4, 2026By Ryland BeardClaudeconnectorsAI assistants

Claude's connector directory passed four hundred verified integrations this year. Most lists of the best ones are written for engineers. This one is for the owner of a small business who wants Claude to handle real work: the books, the inbox, the calendar, the store.

I run a bookkeeping firm and build Switchbooks, so the first entry is ours and I will say so plainly. The rest are the ones I would hand to an owner before anything else.

Every connector here is added the same way. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click +, and browse the directory or choose Add custom connector to paste a server URL. Sign in to the service when Claude asks, then enable the connector from + → Connectors inside a chat.

1. Switchbooks

Best for: bookkeeping, financial reports, and keeping the books current from a chat.

Switchbooks is bookkeeping software you just talk to. Connected to Claude, it reads your books and, if you allow it, keeps them: it categorizes and posts bank transactions, matches transfers, books journal entries, and reconciles against a statement from a preview. Ask for last month's profit and loss and it comes back in the chat. Ask what is sitting in To Review and Claude can work through it with you.

Every change Claude makes through Switchbooks is recorded and can be undone. It cannot connect a bank, move money, send email, or delete anything permanently; those stay in the app.

Use it for

  • "Show me September's P&L for Harbor Goods."
  • "What is in To Review, and post anything that matches a rule."
  • "How much did we pay Gusto this year?"
  • "Which accounts are reconciled, and through when?"

Connect it from Switchbooks in the Claude directory, or add it as a custom connector with https://app.switchbooks.ai/api/mcp. Step-by-step instructions are in Connect Claude or Grok Bot to Switchbooks.

2. Gmail

Best for: finding things in your inbox and drafting replies.

The Gmail connector lets Claude search your mail and read threads, so "what did the landlord say about the lease renewal?" gets a real answer. It drafts replies for you to send. Paired with Switchbooks, Claude can find the invoice a vendor emailed and check whether it was paid.

Use it for

  • A summary of what needs a reply today.
  • Pulling a receipt or invoice out of a thread.
  • Drafting follow-ups to quotes that went quiet.

3. Google Drive

Best for: your documents, spreadsheets, and slides.

Google Drive gives Claude your Docs, Sheets, and Slides as context. Contracts, price lists, the spreadsheet you track jobs in: Claude can read them, answer from them, and help you update them.

Use it for

  • "What does our contract with the Smiths say about late payment?"
  • Summarizing a long proposal before you send it.
  • Pulling numbers from a sheet into a report.

4. Slack

Best for: teams that run on channels.

With Slack connected, Claude can summarize a busy channel, find a decision buried in a thread, and post an update for you. For a small team it mostly means fewer "did anyone see my message?" moments.

Use it for

  • A daily digest of the channels you muted.
  • "What did we decide about holiday hours?"
  • Posting a weekly summary where the team will read it.

5. Notion

Best for: company knowledge and running documents.

If your procedures, meeting notes, and project pages live in Notion, this connector lets Claude read and update them. It is the difference between an assistant that answers from the open web and one that answers from how your business actually works.

Use it for

  • "What is our refund policy?"
  • Filing meeting notes on the right page.
  • Keeping a task list Claude can update.

6. HubSpot

Best for: sales pipeline and contact history.

HubSpot gives Claude your contacts, deals, and pipeline. It can list deals that have gone quiet, prepare a brief before a call, and log notes after. Small sales teams get the most out of this one.

Use it for

  • "Which deals have had no activity in two weeks?"
  • A one-page brief on a prospect.
  • Logging the call and setting the next step.

7. Stripe

Best for: payments, subscriptions, and customer billing questions.

The Stripe connector gives Claude your payments, customers, invoices, and subscriptions. "Did the Johnson invoice get paid?" or "how many subscriptions churned last month?" are answered from live data. Keep it read-only unless you want Claude issuing refunds.

Use it for

  • Checking whether a specific payment landed.
  • Monthly revenue and churn questions.
  • Finding a customer's billing history before a support reply.

8. Shopify

Best for: store owners.

If you sell on Shopify, this connector gives Claude your products, orders, and store data. Inventory questions, order lookups, and product copy all happen in the chat.

Use it for

  • "Which products are low on stock?"
  • Looking up an order for a customer email.
  • Drafting product descriptions in your store's voice.

9. Canva

Best for: quick marketing assets.

Claude can create and edit Canva designs from a prompt. It is not a designer, but for a social post, a flyer, or a resized logo it saves a trip into the editor.

Use it for

  • Social graphics from a short brief.
  • Resizing a design for another channel.
  • First drafts of a menu or price list.

10. Zapier

Best for: the app that does not have its own connector yet.

Zapier connects Claude to thousands of apps through the automations you already run. If your scheduling tool, your point of sale, or your email marketing platform is not in Claude's directory, Zapier is usually the way to reach it.

Use it for

  • Niche tools without a native connector.
  • Kicking off an existing Zap from a chat.
  • Multi-app workflows, such as a new order that creates a contact and a task.

How to pick

Start with two connectors. For most owners that is the inbox and the books: Gmail so Claude can see what is coming in, and Switchbooks so it can see where the money went. Add Drive when your documents become the bottleneck, and a CRM or store connector when you have a pipeline or a catalog to manage.

Connect read-only first. Once you trust what Claude reports, allow changes on the tools where its work is easy to review and undo. Switchbooks was built for exactly that: every change Claude makes is listed in plain language and can be reversed from the same chat.
